
Dr Scott Stewart completed a PhD at the Research School of Chemistry (ANU) in the field of natural products synthesis. In 2002, he was awarded an Alexander von-Humboldt Fellowship to work at the Universität Göttingen, Germany. During this time, he was introduced to palladium catalysis and cross-coupling reactions. Scott has also studied in the field of medicinal chemistry with research at Monash, Deakin and Newcastle Universities.
Dr Stewart was first appointed at The University of Western Australia in late 2005 and now holds a Senior Lecturer Position. In 2018 he was appointed Chemistry Program Coordinator (Head of Discipline in Chemistry)

2008: The establishment of the WA Synthetic and Organic Group of the RACI and of which he held the chair position from 2008-2012.
